Palm Trans is a privately owned family Company managed by Darren & Julie Palmer which was established in 1985 providing Local Container work around Melbourne and Express Interstate.

Today we operate 25 Prime movers throughout the East Coast and South Australia.

Facilities
We have just moved our Head Office to new premises in Laverton on 5 acres. All administration is handled from here. Proof of deliveries and accounting queries are directed to the Melbourne Office. Local delivery tray trucks are based in Melbourne and distribute to the metro area. We have a fully staffed depot in Sydney and have tray trucks capable of distributing freight to the Sydney Metro area. Storage facilities are also available in both cities. Our aim is to provide a safe harmonious working environment conducive to good employee and community relations.

Work Health and Safety must be both an individual and a shared responsibility. Safety is a team commitment involving clients, Managers, employees, drivers and sub contractors, all working together through consultation and co-operation. Our objective is to provide all personnel at our sites with an environment that is free of risk to their health and safety.

 
 

Support Facilities
The vehicle workshop at the Melbourne Depot is manned by qualified technicians who check each vehicle on return to the depot. Our vehicle servicing program is monitored closely and routine vehicle maintenance and repairs are carried out in the workshop. Other vehicle repairs are contracted out to those who specialise in the type of repair required.

The Prime mover fleet has an average age of just 2 years, an indication of our priority to safety and vehicle reliability. The Trailer fleet is older but is just as well maintained. Local vehicles are maintained in the same manner as the interstate fleet.

Our vehicle wash bay is used constantly to ensure our fleet is not only maintained in peak condition but looks good at all times.
